Cathy Muscara earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education degree and teaching certificate from the University of Pittsburgh. (Let’s go Steelers!)
Before having children, Cathy taught in public and private schools and tutored at the elementary level. God then blessed Cathy and her husband Steve with two children, Joe and Natalie. Although homeschooling began for them unofficially at birth, they became legal homeschool students in 2002. Since then, the Muscaras have been avid homeschool advocates, knowing the precious years of a child’s life are best spent being influenced by his/her family and carefully chosen like-minded friends. Steve and Cathy’s children have graduated from homeschooling through high school and are now successfully pursuing their post secondary endeavors! Cathy, now an “empty desker” with no students at home, strives to seek out homeschool families to encourage on their journeys.
A new role as Director of Children’s Ministries at Living Hope Community Church occupies most of Cathy’s time these days. She is passionate about leading children and their parents to love the Lord, their families, and their communities!
The Muscaras live on a small farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania where they enjoy raising animals and fruits and vegetables. They worship and serve with the family of believers at Living Hope Community Church in Dublin, PA.
