Happy New School Year to you and yours! I’ve been noticing something this week. Everywhere I go I see evidence that public and private school is back in session….quieter stores, closed swimming pools and bus traffic.
My most favorite effect to notice however, is the presence of school age kids NOT at school. Quick deductive thinking leads me to believe they are homeschool kids! 🙂
– younger and older children playing together
– siblings getting along
– older siblings actually talking to each other
– parents explaining nature to children
– children interested in listening and learning
– children reading by choice
– parents patiently observing children at leisurely play
Yes, I am heavily biased to the many wonderful blessings of homeschooling! Discipling your children is a unique honor and privilege! Take your time! Deeeeeep breath! Savor every moment! (Well, MOST of the moments!) 🙂 And know just how great of a job you are doing in your child’s development! The fruit of your labor will influence your child’s life for a very long time – maybe even for eternity!
“He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which He commanded our ancestors to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands.” Psalm 78:5-7
